CoatiMom’s Baby Book Part 4- Bonnie and Clyde 1st. day home

It’s so hard to believe that my precious babies are all grown up! They are mischievous, somethings never change…..The only thing that does is the upper body strength they seem to get as they grow. All the cute little coati games we played while they where baby have changed they can now leap amazing lengths, unscrew jar lids and open doors if they get a handle on them. They can even move small piece of furniture! Gotta luv those coatis, there body’s may grow but there little hearts never change. They will always be my Coatikids…………

CoatiDaddy’s big surprise

Oh yes, I had the best surprise ever for my Daddy on Valentines day. It took some planning and alot of help from CoatiMom and all the rest of the family. We sure did surprise CoatiDaddy on Valentines day!! I really wanted to do something special for my CoatiDaddy because of all the stuff he is building for us and of course I am his favorite Daddy’s little girl. I have been secretly talking to everybody and taking up collections. With my charm and personality I even got the snakes to join in and they never want to have anything to do with anybody.(I think they are just bitter because CoatiDaddy keeps those two in locked cages behind glass)…..Anyhow, With my expert organizational skills and planning this is what we did. CoatiMom went to the store for us (since they won’t let me drive a car or go into grocery stores and that’s just silly because everyone knows Coatis are just fine picking out our own food and we could probably drive better than some humans, but that’s a story for another blog) We gave CoatiMom a list, I got my Daddy a heart shaped box of Chocolates (because I love him). Clyde got him a box of Skittles (because he is so silly, I told him Chocolates but he doesn’t listen to anybody)Lucky got him Hersey Kisses because he is always such a kissy face and that it one of his favorite things to do (CoatiMom taught him that, I always see those two kissing…Geesh get a room, ya know?). Raven, that stuck up Queen wannabe, got him Red Hots because she thinks she is so Hot! (that is a matter of opinion and certainly not mine, I will always be the favorite and the prettiest)…………………………….
Saving the best for last, we all chipped in and bought CoatiDaddy a marshmallow machine. After we get our new Coati Cottage finished and move in, he can send us marshmallows from thirty feet away! Less work for him means he can give us twice the marshmallows, WIN WIN!……………………………………………..
The others got him stuff too. That new little white pup Thorn got him some white tootsie rolls, because he is the only white furry critter in the house. Sable, the big black dog, got him his favorite Dove milk chocolates (show off German Shepherds are all alike). CoatiDaddy calls Jack the big yellow dog his LionBear because Jack is so hairy and fluffy (I think it’s the Great Pyrenees Mixed with Chow that makes him look that way, well that and he is a 110 pound moose). Anyway, back on track, Jack got him a box of sweethearts that roar like a lion when you press the button! LOL The tortoises all chipped in and got him one box of turtles (11 tortoises and one gift? cheap cheap cheap). Of course what else, but honestly I think they lack creativity and they where too cheap to each spring for gifts. They are like that you know. Tortoises are so cheap they carry around their own mobile homes that are so small there is only enough room for them. No visitors…I mean really what’s up with that? I guess they are okay, although sometimes I do wonder why CoatiMom keeps coati food as pets. She even keeps their enclosures locked so we can’t try to snack on them. I did hear a rumor that they are getting their own tortoise barn and it’s under construction too. Those snakes, Diablo and Morte, each got him Killer and Venom energy drinks and lotto tickets because what else would snakes want to share but some killer venom and the lotto tickets because CoatiDaddy takes chances by having them…………….
All and all it was a fun night!

Coati Cottage still coming along

Well this weather is really not making me happy. I feels like forever since we started this project. The freezing temps and snow have made things go really slow. The guys did come back this week and put the first layer of the roof on. It still needs to be insulated and the double inside doors put in. We also started on our tortoise barn and are in the same place. Once the contractors finish we still need to built the swings and furniture inside, run electric and plumbing in both places too….I guess I should count my blessings that I’m getting such great habitats for my babies, I just got so excited when we started these projects that I want them nnnooowwwwwwww! (yep, I am channeling Verruca Salt)

Tattletail, I’m coming for You…….

I am getting very tired of hearing how special and how much Lucky is CoatiMom’s favorite…..Especially when everyone knows I am the family favorite. Lucky just needs to stop with the tattling..not going to take much more. Lucky was just as guilty in the bathroom capers… If he doesn’t take this warning, I will pack my toys and move in with Bonnie and Clyde. I think it’s getting time I take my rightful place as Monarch of the Coati Manor!

I’m looking for it……..

That’s right, I’m looking for it. It’s true I do not know what “it” is… but when I find it I will know it. Everyday I must search the house, if I didn’t find it yesterday I might find it today. If not there is always tomorrow……Not sure why CoatiMom got so mad at us yesterday. She put us in our cages! I am really not used to that at all. CoatiMom left the door to her bedroom open so I thought it was OK to go inside. Then the other door was open to her private bathroom (she makes us Coatikids use the one in the hall) I wasn’t doing anything, just looking at the shiny stuff in the tub. It was Raven that made the mess!!!!!!!!…She went wild and found the door to CoatiMoms closet, jumped on the top rack and pushed everything on the floor, and then came into the bathroom and cleared all the counters. Not sure what all those glass things on the windowsill “”were”” but they made pretty little pieces of shiny stuff on the bottom of the tub. Never did find the perfume (thats all I was sniffing around for at the moment) That Raven is going to get us all in big time trouble. That little girl is getting some attitude lately. Why can’t all the Coatikids be sweet and cute like me! Did I mention I am CoatiMom’s favortie *winks*

There comes a time when all little coatis need to get off the porch and play with the big dogs!

Things are going to get pretty interesting around here. Coati Mom and Dad decided to get another pup…….There is this big white thing in our house now, I say big but it’s really smaller than tubby boy Lucky. I am not sure what to think about it……Animals are supposed to be dark colored and this thing has no color….Honestly it looks like that stuff humans call snow….Snow is cold and I don’t like snow. It will take us all some time to figure out if this white thing Coati Mom calls Thorn is going to be friendly. Clyde is working on it and has made some attemps to play with it so, we will see what happens.

Another Snow Day…What’s Up With That?

Heavens to Snow Drops…It’s Frickin Texas!!! Why all the snow? We want the sun back. We are bored. It’s not wise for the coatikids to be bored…..Funny things seem to happen..esp. where Clyde is concerned. I hope the Weather Gods still listen to my warning….Things is only going to get worse and from the look of things the other Coatikids are on the war path. Bonnie and Clyde are into everything and Lucky is up to his shoe stealing tricks!!!!!!!!!Of course I am good, I just sit back and watch the craziness happen *giggles and snickers*
